Chimney Chase Pans

Factory-built or prefabricated fireplace and chimney systems are increasingly popular these days, and for good reason. When properly installed and maintained, they can be beautiful, affordable, safe and efficient additions to any home.

Factory chimneys generally vent through the roof (with a pipe, essentially), and most have a chase (a metal or wood box) built around the piping for a more finished, attractive aesthetic. Chases are often finished with siding to look like the home, or with brick/stone panels that mimic traditional masonry. Protecting the chase, on top, is a chase pan, generally made of galvanized metal, stainless steel or copper. Like the chimney crown on a masonry chimney, a chase pan is performing an important protective function, working to keep water away from the flue. If it rusts or begins to fail, you’ll likely have a leak on your hands.

If your chase pan is showing signs of damage, we can replace it with a beautiful and durable new chase pan that will bring a fresh look to your chase and thoroughly protect your chimney.

We Install Galvanized Metal Chase Pans

Young’s Chimney Service routinely installs chase pans made of galvanized metal. Galvanized metal chase pans are often installed with the prefabricated system because they tend to be highly affordable. Our specific manufacturing and reinforced installation process reduces rust and makes galvanized metal a great, durable and long-lasting choice for our local area.
